Telecoms infrastructure firm to expand with new Stourton base
Telecoms infrastructure firm Future Network Solutions (FNS) has secured an industrial unit in Stourton, Leeds.
Property advisory firm Fox Lloyd Jones let the 23,500 sq ft space to FNS on behalf of construction product supplier SIG plc.
FNS, which focuses on fibre and copper network installations for the telecommunications sector, has 130 staff and a fleet of 80 vehicles.
The company said the new site will enable it to grow its workforce and fleet. FNS was previously based in Leeds’ Lower Wortley area.
The unit will also allow FNS to expand its geographical reach beyond its existing Yorkshire, Lancashire and North East markets.
FNS director Chris Walton said: “Since our formation in 2007, we have built an excellent reputation within the telecoms sector for providing first rate turnkey solutions.
“With a leadership team that has more than 35 years’ experience of working on high-level communication projects for blue chip companies, we have earned an enviable reputation for delivering the expertise and innovation needed in a fast moving industry.”
He continued: “As we continue to win new contracts it was essential to operate out of premises which could accommodate all the different areas of the business, as well as enabling us to meet our ambitious expansion plans.”
Fox Lloyd Jones’ Tom Shelton commented: “This deal underlines the fact that the industrial property market in Leeds and Yorkshire as a whole remains strong, and good quality stock will let well.
“It was great to work with SIG to find a good quality tenant and to be able to assist FNS with their expansion to larger, better quality premises.”
Scott Morrison, from Cushman & Wakefield, was joint agent on the deal with Fox Lloyd Jones.
