This is The Space opens for Spinningfields creatives
Property development startup Watch This Space (WTS) has launched a boutique office scheme for creatives in Spinningfields, Manchester.
This is The Space is located on 68 Quay Street, which WTS acquired in July last year from St. James’ Chambers in a deal worth over £1m.
The 4,947 sq ft property, having been empty for three years, has since undergone a nine-month refurb.
WTS said it has created a modern, boutique-style working environment comprising individual pods for single workers and self-contained offices with space for 12 staff each.
Interiors at This is The Space feature work by local artists, while the ground floor is designed like a miniature urban park with plants and greenery.
Watch This Space founder Michelle Rothwell commented: “This Is The Space really challenges traditional working environments and is designed to stimulate employees.
“We’ve given occupiers here the option to personalize their work space and make it really feel that it’s their home and be in greater control.”
She added: “We’re also able to rent space for as little as seven days, which gives occupiers’ greater flexibility.”
Speaking further, Michelle said: “We have also invested in state-of-the-art technology, such as enabling spaces and doors can be opened via tenants’ mobile phones. In addition, each boutique office features its own unique design with all of them having different flooring and light fittings as an example. It’s a scheme we’re really proud of and we’re excited to have now launched to the market.”
