Lakes Distillery nabs distribution deal with Tesco
The Lakes Distillery has signed a distribution deal with Tesco.
The agreement will see the company’s Lakes Gin product stocked in Tesco stores throughout the North West.
The Lakes Distillery team will also drive the partnership with featured tastings, Distillery experiences and other campaigns.
The distillery’s chief exec, Nigel Mills, said: “We are thrilled that The Lakes Gin is being listed by Tesco, and are sure that it will prove popular with customers regionally and nationally.
“In just three years, we have built a brand that is gaining both national and international recognition for being of a high standard and quality.”
He continued: “Our Lakes Gin, one of the first products we created, has surpassed expectations in the on trade and off trade.”
“The trend towards more premium spirits in the market is not slowing down, with quality and provenance at the forefront of customers’ minds, our premium crafted portfolio competes well with some of the biggest spirits brands out there.”
Lakes Gin is made using a mix of more than 10 botanicals, including Cumbrian Juniper and four other species native to Lake District National Park.
Tesco’s local buyer, Steve Brooks, commented: “We’re delighted to work with Lakes Distillery to offer its award winning Lakes Gin in our stores across the region.
“We’re always on the lookout for the very best local products to share with our customers these make an excellent treat for any occasion.”
