Fashion retailer COS to open regional flagship in Liverpool
Fashion brand COS is opening a North West regional flagship store at Liverpool ONE.
The company will set up a 5,700 sq ft shop at the entrance to Peter’s Lane, next to Flannels and Beauty Bazaar Harvey Nichols.
Occupying a former warehouse unit, the store will be COS’ first standalone store in the region.
The brand is owned by fashion giant H&M Group.
Alison Clegg, director of asset management at Grosvenor Europe, the company behind the L1 complex, said: “We are very pleased to secure a first store in the North West for COS, which is another great directional fashion brand for Liverpool ONE.
“COS joins a cache of exceptional premium brands located on Peter’s Lane that together provide the best in designer clothing, footwear, jewellery and beauty products.”
H&M Group’s head of expansion, Sam Miller, commented: “Liverpool is known for its focus on fashion, and nowhere more so than Liverpool ONE.
“The high footfall and line-up of complementary brands on Peter’s Lane will be great assets as we introduce our first COS standalone store in the North West.”
Property consultants Cushman & Wakefield and Metis Real Estate Advisors acted for Liverpool ONE, while COS dealt direct.
The announcement follows a record year for Liverpool ONE, which saw sales rise 3% and pulled in an annual footfall of 29 million in 2017.
