Yorkshire's Southern Broadstock wins £1.3m deal with University of Sunderland
Southerns Broadstock has won a tender process to be appointed a single source supplier to the University of Sunderland.
The contract - anticipated to be worth £1.3m - was awarded by the North East University Purchasing Consortium (NEUPC) following a competitive nine-way tender process; the first to be awarded since the renewal of the NEUPC agreement.
The job was won by Southerns Broadstock owing to their product sustainability, design ability, working processes and high standards, all of which were clearly illustrated by the tender document.
Jon Stoney, sales director said: “We have built an excellent working relationship with the University having delivered many capital schemes to them over the last eight years.
“Our robust processes, teamed with our ability to provide end to end services means we can deliver projects to high standards within reliable timeframes. We look forward to working with the University on another successful project.”
With the ability to provide end to end services, the company will offer design and delivery, installation and aftersales over two years, with an option to extend by a further two years.
The £1.3m contract will be for the creation of inspiring and innovative teaching and learning spaces for over 1,300 staff, an area in which Southerns Broadstock has extensive experience.
