BUYING OFF PLAN REAPS REWARDS FOR THURROCK HOMEBUYERS

Buying a new home before a single brick has been laid may sound unusual, but local housebuilder Persimmon Homes is encouraging house hunters in Thurrock to do exactly that.

The company’s Aveley Village development, comprising of 114 new homes, is off Aveley Bypass in South Ockendon, and is already proving popular with buyers.

Customers are quickly snapping up the two-bedroom properties as Emma Hawkins, head of sales at Persimmon Homes Essex, explained.

She said: We have designed a development dedicated to two and three-bedroom homes and the location certainly appeals to commuters.“

Just a few minutes from the M25, with three train stations within three miles and London City Airport close by, Aveley Village offers buyers an abundance of travelling choices.

Emma added: “The transport links are excellent and the surrounding local amenities and good quality schools further add to its appeal.

“And if we don’t have quite what you are looking for here, our Urban Central development in Grays, just down the road, offers even more choice.

“Many of our buyers want to get ahead of the game and purchase their home off-plan.

“Buying this way is ideal because you can secure your preferred property and location within the development. Reserving at this stage means you can truly personalise their home by choosing from a range of fixtures and fittings items such as kitchen units, appliances, waterfall showers, wall tiles and flooring options.

“It also means you have the maximum amount of time to prepare, taking some of the stress out of moving home.”

Providing buyers with a helping hand, all the Aveley Village properties are available to purchase under Help to Buy, the Government’s equity loan scheme where only a deposit of five per cent is needed. Persimmon’s Part Exchange and Home Change schemes are also available.
