Leeds catering company adds to recipe for success with latest acquisition
Blue Pepper Catering, the Leeds-based catering company, has completed the acquisition of New Yorkshire Foods.
Owner and executive chef David Swade left behind his rosette starred restaurant career to to launch Blue Pepper in 2013.
With 25 years’ experience in the dining and hospitality sector, his interest in the corporate events and business sector prompted the initiative which has grown to support a professional team of eight employees.
In acquiring New Yorkshire Foods this year for a six figure sum, Blue Pepper is now operating four liveried vans delivering lunches to the Leeds business sector, Monday to Friday.
Based near the centre of Leeds, the Blue Pepper team produce fresh sandwiches, soups and vacuum packed meals for the vans to service the business community in office parks around the city.
New Yorkshire Foods operated for 14 years and Swade is committed to continuing to service its customer base while adding new clients to the daily delivery run and expanding the range of menu options available.
In addition to the new daily delivery van options, Blue Pepper will continue to supply businesses with hot and cold buffets for working breakfast, lunch and evening meetings and networking events.
Weddings, hog roasts, BBQs and the Big Blue Whale fish and chips mobile catering solution will also continue to feature as part of Blue Pepper Catering’s offering, along with marquee and event equipment hire.
Swade explained: “Creating innovative amazing food is what gets the Blue Pepper team out of bed in the morning and we’re lucky to have a number of fantastic local suppliers for fresh ingredients which is the basis for quality catering.
“It’s very exciting to be growing and offering this new service to the business community in the area.”
