bimstore Strengthen Marketing Team with Three New Appointments

North East based BIM content library, bimstore has strengthened its marketing team with the appointment of three new members. The new recruits include a Marketing Manager, Digital Marketing Assistant and Graphic Designer who will all play an important role in the company’s strategic direction.

Newly appointed Marketing Manager, Gemma Smith has over ten years’ experience in marketing across a variety of industries including building products, manufacturing and education.

Gemma is joined by graduates Daniel Jones - Wheat as the Digital Marketing Assistant and Jade Webb-Hartford as the Graphic Designer.

bimstore was launched in April 2011 by a number of colleagues from the national architectural practice Space Architects. The team of architects bought their first copy of Revit in 2000 and it soon became apparent that there was nowhere for designers to access consistent, quality manufacturer content for their 3D models.

The company’s investment in its marketing team will help to deliver growth across bimstore as well drive product development by developing innovative and useful ways to distribute its BIM components to architects and specifiers.

Gemma Smith, Marketing Manager for bimstore is excited to be involved in the company, she comments:

’I am thrilled to join bimstore as their Marketing Manager, they have a fantastic reputation in the digital construction industry and as an employer in the North East. I first became aware of bimstore in 2012 when I was looking for a company to author some BIM components after the announcement of the Governments BIM mandate.

‘My first impressions of the company were extremely positive, and I continued to attend their manufacturer events to learn more about the industry. It’s fantastic than I am now part of the team, we have some really exciting projects coming up and I can’t wait to get started’.

Rob Charlton, bimstore’s CEO, comments:

‘Over the years bimstore has grown immensely. We were the UK’s first BIM component library providing high quality, manufacturer approved content to architects and specifiers. We are now seven years old and we continue to work with some of the biggest building product manufacturers in the industry. We achieve this by sticking to our original founding principle, we create and distribute the best BIM components.

‘We made the decision to bring our marketing activity in-house and Gemma, Daniel and Jade have the skills, knowledge and experience that bimstore needs to help drive the business forward. We are continually pushing the boundaries with regards to digital innovation in the construction industry so to have an enthusiastic marketing team to promote our work makes perfect sense.’
