Signs Express Manchester backs cycling team ahead of Tour de Yorkshire
Sign company Signs Express Manchester has announced a supplier and sponsor deal with professional cycling team Storey Racing.
The tie-up, revealed ahead of the Tour de Yorkshire event on May 3, marks the second year running that Signs Express has backed the team.
Storey Racing was set up last year by Dame Sarah Storey and Barney Storey, who approached the sign maker for branding across their support vehicle fleet.
Signs Express has a history of work in the sport, having completed projects for governing body British Cycling and a number of cycling teams, including Tour de France winner Bradley Wiggins’ Team Sky.
Storey Racing, a 12-rider team, will race road, track, time trials, cyclocross and mountain bike events across the year.
The support vehicle livery provided by Signs Express will feature the team’s #BestVersionOfYou hashtag alongside the Storey Racing logo.
Lee Eaton, owner of Signs Express, said: “The passion and drive shown by Dame Sarah and Barney Storey is incredible and I was excited to be involved as a supply partner and sponsor.
“It is also more difficult for women in cycling to get the same support as the male counterpart, so we want to show our ongoing support to the ladies’ team.”
Lee added: “The team’s brand is becoming very recognisable now and I have no doubt we’ll see them grow into one of the leading teams in cycling.”
