The second phase of homes at award winning riverside development set to be released at Open Day

Homebuyers on the lookout for a new house with views of Nottingham’s waterside, cityscape and nature will be able to find their perfect home at the launch of Trent Basin’s Phase Two – a multi award-winning eco development on the banks of the River Trent.

From elegant riverside townhouses to contemporary mews homes, the development’s second phase is being launched on May 12th with an open day from 9am – 4pm at the development. The doors will be open to the show home and the event will give prospective residents the opportunity to find out more about the first wave of homes and reserve their spot in the development.

Comprising 31 low-energy homes, Trent Basin offers buyers something different from the norm, with landscaped riverside walkways, unrivalled views of the Trent, and homes designed by award-winning architects Marsh Grochowski and Sarah Wigglesworth Architects. Not only do the homes come with high quality timber framed windows by Velfac, kitchens by Symphony and unique roof terraces, residents will also be given an opportunity to be part of an innovative Community Energy project.

Designed with low use of energy and quality of living in mind, homebuyers will be able to choose from 2, 3 or 4-bedroom houses or 2-bedroom mews homes. The homes are being made available to reserve exclusively off plan, with plenty of time to choose from the wide array of options, extras and upgrades that Blueprint will be offering.

On the 12th May, Blueprint will also be re-launching the remaining apartments in the first phase of the development. With all other homes now sold or reserved, the apartments are the last remaining chance for homebuyers to secure home with unrivalled panoramic views in this distinctive waterside location at the entrance to the historic basin. The 2-bedroom apartments and 3-bedroom duplex apartments, which come with dedicated parking and cycle storage, are ready to move into immediately.

Nick Ebbs, Chief Executive at Blueprint, said: “We are very excited to be launching the second phase of Trent Basin. Construction is now well underway and we have already seen a lot of interest from homebuyers who want to be part of the emerging community at Trent Basin.

“This launch event is the perfect opportunity to come and learn about the development and to get a first chance to reserve one of these homes off plan. From outstanding scenery and contemporary design through to industry leading energy innovation, Trent Basin offers something unique for everyone.”

Located less than 1.5 miles from the city centre and even closer to Nottingham train station, accessibility to work, shopping and transport are major attributes of Trent Basin. It is also located just a short drive from the popular town centre of West Bridgford and its bustling Central Avenue, packed with high quality restaurants, bars and independent businesses.

Trent Basin is also home to Project SCENe, a pioneering community energy storage project funded by Innovate UK, where energy is produced by solar panels located throughout the neighbourhood and stored in the largest community energy battery in Europe before going into the grid. The project team, which is made up of an experienced consortium headed up by the University of Nottingham, is also be offering residents in Phase 2 a unique energy upgrade package for their home.

Nick added: “In 2013, we set out a vision to create a new sustainable neighbourhood in Nottingham. The vision is now well on the way to being realised”.

The Government’s popular Help to Buy initiative will also be available at Trent Basin, meaning that all of the homes will be available with just a 5% deposit, subject to purchaser eligibility.
