Teesside electricians spark new jobs for the region

With over 30 years of combined experience in the electrical industry, two friends are expanding their business across the region and expecting to create jobs.

Electricians, Lee Stewart and Barry Swainston set up S & S Electrics in Stockton in 2015, working predominantly on local domestic jobs before investing in sales and marketing to grow the business across the North East.

Enlisting the help of digital marketing agency, Espresso Web to better market its services, S & S Electrics has expanded its reach with larger commercial projects and new build developments.

Lee, 33, from Thornaby, said: “We pride ourselves on the standard of work we do and our reputation, on the back of which we have seen our workload grow across the Teesside area.

“We are at the point now where we are looking to take on staff to manage the amount of domestic work we have - services like rewires, repairs, maintenance and PAT testing, all the areas where we excel.

“We want to expand further and in time grow S & S to have a team of electricians working throughout the North East, which is why we have asked Espresso Web to help us strengthen our brand and presence.”

S & S Electrics recently worked on the new trampoline park at Royal Quays, North Tyneside, and is currently on site with John King Construction at a new housing development in Nunthorpe.

In the past few weeks, the firm has recruited two new account managers, Antony Grimley and Andrew Palmer, as well as marketing consultant, Lyndsey Cormack and apprentice, Natassja Bartman.

Director, Stephen Robinson, said: “Sales are booming and our services are in demand; we have a great team of web developers, graphic designers and creative writers working here and it is continually expanding.”
