Innovative Design is Recognised by Her Majesty The Queen
Manvers Engineering Ltd has been recognised by Her Majesty The Queen for Outstanding Innovation with The Queen’s Award for Enterprise 2018.
An honour awarded to only a select number of UK businesses, the Barnsley based company has been successful in the “Innovation” category for the design, development and success of its unique ground breaking product Plant Nappy, a benchmark oil spill protection invention for the construction industry to avoid contaminated waste.
Paving the way for greener construction Plant Nappy patented dual-purpose technology has developed a pioneering product that provides a cost effective and practical way to contain leaks and spills from construction plant equipment ensuring oils and fuels are captured leaving clean water to escape contaminate free.
Colin Ibbotson, Manvers Engineering managing director says: “It is a great honour to receive such an award recognising our innovation in the field of environmental protection. This award showcases our dedication to research and development in spill control and we believe it will catapult our stature in the oil spill industry, at home and abroad.”
In recognition of their achievement representatives from Manvers Engineering will be invited to a Royal reception to celebrate their success at Buckingham Palace hosted by Her Majesty The Queen on the 28th June 2018.
The Awards celebrate the success of exciting and innovative businesses which are leading the way with pioneering products or services, delivering impressive social mobility programmes or showing their commitment to excellent sustainable development practices.
The Queen’s Awards for Enterprise are the most prestigious business awards in the UK. The awards were first established in 1965 and since then 7,114 companies have achieved the Queen’s Award.
