Roxy Ball Room to open new Leeds city centre venue after £400k revamp
Roxy Ball Room has announced plans to open a brand new venue in Leeds.
The bar will be the newest addition to the city’s Northern Quarter as it opens on Merrion Street, in the site formerly occupied by Bar Soba.
Following a £400k renovation, the bar will also create 20 new jobs within the Roxy Leisure group.
The refurbishment will see the downstairs area transformed into a beer pong oasis with no less than 10 beer pong battle stations and “a real party vibe.”
Upstairs is set to feature a second bar, three shuffleboards, three ping pong tables, three American pool tables and an arcade basketball game.
Roxy’s new site, marking its third in Leeds city centre, will also have a huge projector screen showing all major games, including the 2018 World Cup.
John Crowe, operations director, said: “Our new Roxy Ball Room will be in the heart of Merrion Street adding to the Rock & Indie vibe that the street is famous for.
“The downstairs part of our bar will have a real party vibe! That was one of the main reasons that we wanted to open up this new site.
“We envisage the drinkers of Leeds taking full advantage of our Beer Pong tables in the downstairs area of the venue until the early morning, rocking out to great tunes, drinking great beer and having a great time.
“Upstairs will be full of bookable areas that can be hired for parties with ping pong, pool, beer pong and bank shot shuffleboards. We like to think that we know how to throw a good party! Having this additional Roxy Ball Room site as well as Roxy Lanes in Leeds means that we can cater for a lot more guests. We are hugely looking forward to getting it open now.”
