Deal signed for 68.8-acre expansion of Cheshire’s MA6NITUDE logistics park
A joint venture between logistics developer db symmetry and building firm Pochin’s Ltd is taking steps to expand its MA6NITUDE business park in Cheshire.
DBS Pochin signed an option agreement for 68.8 acres of allocated employment land just east of the development in Middlewich.
The deal will enable the park to compete for larger footprint requirements in the region, DBS Pochin said.
MA6NITUDE director Daniel Burn commented: “We are delighted to conclude this agreement as it will allow MA6NITUDE to readily respond to requirements of over 300,000 sq ft, which are becoming more prevalent due to the continued growth in e-commerce.
“Coupled with the strategic location close to Junction 18 of the M6, we are confident that the site will attract strong demand once a planning consent has been secured.”
Ecologists will now carry out surveys to enable DBS Pochin to submit a planning application for the land later this year.
Speaking further, Dan said: “With a shortage of large stock and land supply in the Cheshire region, we find ourselves in a strong position to bring forward quality employment land which can contribute significantly to the local economy.”
DBS Pochin secured planning approval in February for 190,000 sq ft of industrial and distribution accommodation at MA6NITUDE. The space will be developed on a speculative basis.
