Rihanna announces a lingerie line
Rumours have been circulating since March, and a video posted by the singer online has left fans curious… Is Rihanna releasing a new album anytime soon? We thought it could be on the horizon - but in true Rihanna style, the surprise was very different.
After the successful collaborations with Puma and Fenty Beauty - her all-embracing beauty line that rocked the industry - Rihanna has confirmed that she will expand the Fenty empire.
The next Bad Gal adventure? A new line of lingerie.
Savage x Fenty is the name that enshrines the singer’s new project, and the brand’s Instagram page that already has more than 388,000 followers.
Rihanna was keeping the world in suspense, but in an Instagram story published by herself wearing a white bra, as well as teasers that she posted on social media, the singer has given some clues of what we can expect.
Following the example of Fenty Beauty, renowned for its diversity and inclusiveness it has brought to the beauty industry, Savage x Fenty will have a variety of sizes that prove the singer’s ongoing inclusive mission. Sizes are said to range from 32A to 44D and XS to XXXL.
A few days after news of the launch of the line, in a kind of ‘National Lingerie Day’ celebration, Rihanna shared the first image of the Savage x Fenty collection, and revealed to the fans the official release date: May 11.
“Bet ya didn’t know it’s #NationalLingerieDay,” she wrote on Instagram, showing a pink bodysuit with red details.
While the world eagerly awaits May 11, the singer advises fans to join the official Savage x Fenty website. And if Rihanna says so, we follow.
