Anthony Deighton joins Celonis as Chief Marketing Officer

Celonis, the global market leader in Process Mining technology, announced that Anthony Deighton has joined Celonis as Chief Marketing Officer. Deighton will lead the global marketing and communication strategy at Celonis, and will head the team responsible for driving the rapid market adoption of Celonis’ powerful process mining software that organizations use to drive digital transformation initiatives. Deighton previously served as Chief Technology Officer and SVP of Products at Qlik, as well as General Manager of Siebel ERM.

Deighton is the latest in a series of significant senior management additions and market expansion activities for Celonis. His appointment to the senior management team follows years of more than 300% annual company growth and Fortune 500 customer wins, and the appointment of legendary entrepreneur Carsten Thoma to the board of directors. Celonis is one of the fastest growing enterprise software companies in the world, backed by world-class venture capitalists Accel and 83North.

“We are absolutely thrilled to have Anthony Deighton join our senior management team,” said Alexander Rinke, CEO of Celonis. “His wealth of experience with category development, and his past success at Qlik and Siebel with both marketing and product leadership, make him the ideal leader for Celonis’ marketing strategy. Celonis offers customers an unparalleled opportunity to improve their operations, and we anticipate from Anthony an abundance of fresh ideas on how to continue building our success in new and existing markets.”

“Celonis is a fantastic company and market opportunity. We have just begun to build the market for software to support digital transformation initiatives,” said Anthony Deighton. “I believe Celonis is uniquely positioned to capture this market with powerful Process Mining technology. Customers are moving beyond traditional descriptive analytic dashboards and reports, and towards a process oriented view of their operational data flows. This unique approach lets customers rapidly get results by taking action from their analysis.”

During his tenure at Qlik, Deighton helped to build the company from a small Swedish start-up into a disruptor in the data reporting market, and to establish the category of user-driven Business Intelligence. He holds an MBA with high distinction from Harvard University, and a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and economics from Northwestern University.
