Gavin Black brings Gibb Chambers to the market
Gibb Chambers, 52 Westgate Road, Newcastle upon Tyne is on the market through Gavin Black & Partners off a quoting price of £750,000 for the freehold interest.
Prominently located on Westgate Road close to the junction with Grainger Street, the building is within the central conservation area.
Chris Pearson, partner, Gavin Black & Partners, confirms there is a great deal of interest both from office occupiers as well as developers who have other uses in mind. “It is a very well located building for the city’s office core and it is also on one of the city’s main leisure circuits,” says Mr. Pearson. “It is a freehold sale with vacant possession which really opens the way up for an array of ideas. It was formerly used as offices by a legal practice. Its link to Blaydon Races suggests there could be a race on to acquire the building.”
The listed building dates back to the 1800’s and for the last 20 years has been the headquarters for a local firm of solicitors.
The accommodation provides 6,887 sq ft across four levels and has a rear car park for 11 car spaces.
