Northern Quarter building set for refurb and 2,250 sq ft extension
Manchester property firm CERT Property has secured planning consent for plans to renovate Hilton House in the city’s Northern Quarter.
The project will include a comprehensive refurb of the 35,000 sq ft office building’s interiors, a new facade and a 2,250 sq ft extension to the top two floors.
The new space will serve as serviced and traditional leased office accommodation.
Salford-based Paul Butler Associates consulted on the planning application, which was designed by architecture practice Stephenson Studio.
Howard Lord, managing director at CERT, said: “Hilton House is a perfect example of the rebellious spirit of the Northern Quarter.
“A great deal of consideration has been given to these plans as we have worked to retain the original characteristics of the building whilst improving its offering.”
He continued: “We worked with local talent to create a building which captures the Northern Quarter’s rich heritage whilst also recognising that the working world is evolving.
“The demand for adaptable office solutions in the area is high and it is our aim to restore life into buildings like Hilton House to realise potential and deliver new office solutions across key locations in Manchester and beyond.”
CERT Property owns office and residential sites across Manchester, Liverpool and Nottingham.
