Prudhoe engineering firm to expand with Gateshead facility
Engineering company Quantum Controls is expanding into a second facility.
The Prudhoe-headquartered company confirmed plans to open a branch in Birtley, Gateshead.
Quantum said the facility will house its electrical control panel division and fleet of hire equipment.
The building’s signage and distinctive ‘Quantum clock’ are already visible from the nearby A1.
Quantum Controls specialises in the sale, rental, service and support of variable speed drives and motors.
It works to help manufacturers save money through reduced electricity costs.
Blaydon MP Liz Twist is due to attend the facility’s opening ceremony next Friday (May 18).
