Feast It expands nationwide

Feast It, one of the UK’s fastest growing food tech businesses, is expanding UK-wide. Capitalising on the increasingly demanding palettes of the British foodie nation, the London-born company predicts 600% growth[1] by 2019 as a result of its national expansion.

Capitalising upon the change in tastes in and outside the capital, Feast It’s nationwide expansion is a consequence of growing consumer demand for exciting flavours and ‘on trend’ food & drink. Seeing a large spike in demand for plant-based food, roast dinner wraps, Japanese ‘dude food’, flavoured champagne and freak shakes in the last three months alone, Feast It is catering to the masses; helping brides-to-be, festival goers and event organisers fulfil their ever-demanding guests’ desires.

The national expansion will significantly strengthen Feast It’s position as one of the fastest growing food tech businesses. Soon to be available in over ten cities, including Birmingham, Leeds, Manchester, Exeter, Sheffield as well as wider regions, Feast It is ensuring regions far and wide gain access to the nation’s hottest food and drink.

Since launching in 2017, the company has already achieved stellar growth, growing over 400% in the last 12 months and expanding its team by 500%.[2]

Ahead of the game, Feast It is tapping into the wealth of opportunities for continued innovation in the food and drink industry. Consumer palettes are constantly evolving and as a result, expect more from the food & drink they love.

“A main driver behind our decision to expand has been millennials. We’ve witnessed the shift from Generation Z to millennials who have a particular interest in bringing festival food to their front door, and are on the lookout for convenience, diversity and simplicity,” said Co-founder of Feast It, Digby Vollrath.

“Expanding nationally allows us to cater to the changing tastes. Trends evolve daily, and today’s consumers strive to be ahead of the curve and are constantly on the lookout for different options. Our catering platform allows a huge range of diversity as consumers can pick and choose from a number of vendors, depending on what they fancy and what’s the hottest food trend at that time.”

Feast It has seen a huge increase in middle-eastern, vegan and Asian BBQ food. Consumers are requesting cool and quirky, vendors for their events representing a shift towards consumers bringing festival street food to their front door, drastically impacting the UK’s catering industry and event requirements.

By expanding nationwide, Feast It is meeting consumer demand as well as supporting a number of independent businesses. A priority for Feast It is helping local smaller vendors go national and better compete with bigger catering groups. National expansion allows those in other cities and wider regions to benefit from Feast It services, as all traders are mobile and will travel at least 50 miles outside each city centre.

The nationwide expansion comes off the back of a £680,000 investment, including from high-profile investors John Ayton, co-founder of Links of London, Brown’s restaurants founder Jeremy Mogford, David Abramovich founder of cafe and restaurant group Grind, and Caper & Berry Catering founder Tim Brennan. As a result, Feast It aims to serve over 3,000,000 portions of food in 2018.
