Italian wine café brand Veeno secures new venue in Croydon
Wine café Veeno, known for its brand of Italian food and drink, is set to opena brand new site in Croydon.
CDG Leisure, part of property advisory firm Cedar Dean Group, acted on behalf of Veeno to secure a 1,300 sq ft unit at 46 George Street on a 15-year lease.
Kazaw Sabir, franchise partner at Veeno, said: “As a franchisee for Veeno, we have been fortunate enough to work with Veeno’s property advisory firm, Cedar Dean Group.
“Head of leisure acquisition at CDG, Sammy Weinbaum, and leisure acquisition consultant, Jonny Shell, have effectively used their resources, extended support network and competency to successfully acquire our new Veeno site in Croydon.
Kazaw added: “They have also provided their expert advice on leases, rent review and business rate services, to ensure that we received the best possible outcome on the deal.
“As local businessmen in the area, we have been actively working with Veeno to bring the concept of Italian Aperitivo (the ritual of drinking, eating and relaxing after work and at weekends) to Croydon.”
Sammy Weinbaum, head of leisure acquisition at CDG Leisure, commented: “Croydon is a perfect location for this new Veeno site. Its burgeoning culinary scene makes it a destination for residents and office workers alike who are guaranteed to enjoy excellent food and drink, designed to bring people together.
“We are excited to help further develop the business by identifying and acquiring new sites around the UK.”
The Veeno brand was founded in November 2013 in Manchester by Nino Caruso and Andrea Zecchino.
Veeno serves wines produced in the family vineyard of co-founder Nino Caruso, Caruso & Minini, in Marsala, Sicily and platters of authentic Spuntini – platters of Italian meats and cheeses.
Veeno now has 16 outlets across the country.
Samuel May of May and Company acted for the landlord on this transaction.
