Manchester developer announces £20m resi scheme in Sheffield as first project
North West property developer Qualis Residential Developments Limited is planning to deliver a multi-million pound residential-led development in Sheffield.
The company has acquired land for Great Central, a 131-apartment scheme just north of the city centre on Chatham Street.
The project, Qualis’ first, will have a gross development value of around £20m and span nine storeys.
The Manchester-based firm focuses on designing and building residential schemes across the cities of the North.
Qualis is a strategic partner of property developer and consultancy Knight Knox, also based in Manchester.
Law firm Hill Dickinson advised the company on the land acquisition and secured a finance facility to drive it forward.
Darren Hamer, partner in Hill Dickinson’s Manchester property team, led on the project with support from banking practice partner Alasdair Mackinnon, corporate associate James Down and trainee solicitor Olivia Jones.
Darren said: “This is an exciting development to have been involved in as Qualis Residential Developments Limited looks to regenerate the area near the Kelham Island district of Sheffield, creating desirable new homes and employment in the local area.
“The project draws on Hill Dickinson’s experience of advising on some of the largest property transactions in the North West, supported by the breadth of expertise across the firm.”
