Beacon of Light is sitting pretty with furniture partner
The Beacon of Light is delighted to announce that leading designer and manufacturer Godfrey Syrett will design, supply and install furniture at the new world class facility. The partnership will see the North East based company help create an inspirational and vibrant environment within the five-storey building.
Due to open its doors to the public next month, the Beacon of Light will house a 4G football barn, capable of hosting 7-a-side and 5-a-side games, six outdoor 5-a-side pitches, a versatile indoor arena which can also host national sporting competitions, exhibitions and events, and a suite of classrooms, offices and informal learning spaces.
Clare Wilson, Head of Partnerships and Donor Care at the Foundation of Light, added: “We are delighted to have partnered with a regional company who have a wealth of knowledge and experience and who really understood what the Beacon Light will achieve for our communities.”
“We are very excited to be opening the doors to this amazing facility within the coming weeks and can’t wait to see the Beacon of Light fully complete.”
Godfrey Syrett has been providing high quality, design-led furniture solutions throughout the United Kingdom from their upholstery and panelling sites in the North East of England for more than 70 years.
Mark Dixon, Chief Executive at Godfrey Syrett, said: “It’s a real honour to have been selected for the furniture provision at the Beacon of Light. Our business has longstanding heritage in the North East, so to have the opportunity to support such a fantastic facility in the region fills us with a great sense of pride.”
Mark continued: “The Beacon of Light is a phenomenal building and we’re working closely with Foundation of Light representatives to create a vibrant, welcoming space for visitors and we can’t wait to see the end result.”
The Beacon of Light will also be a home for the Foundation of Light, generating vital funds which will be reinvested back in to the community through the charity’s award-winning programmes.
