CBRE expands Manchester footprint 30% with move to One St Peter’s Square
Property services giant CBRE has moved to a bigger base in Manchester.
The company relocated its 130-strong Manchester team from the Belvedere office building on Booth Street to One St Peter’s Square.
CBRE now occupies 11,309 sq ft on the 10th floor of the 13-storey office site, which was acquired by real estate investor Deka Immobilien in 2016 for £164m.
The move represents a 30% increase in CBRE’s office footprint in the city.
A 10-week fit-out involving refurb business Overbury and TP Bennett Architects, managed by CBRE’s building consultancy team, prepared the space ahead of the move.
Oliver Thomas, senior director of national building consultancy at CBRE Manchester, said: “The new fit-out includes a large reception and visitor lounge where clients are encouraged to take advantage of the great service, views over the city and amazing coffee to use the space before and after their meetings.”
Other features of the office include a client meeting suite with “a mixture of design and comfort that has embraced the latest IT and AV technologies”, Oliver explained, along with staff working areas “arranged into strategic neighbourhoods where teams are encouraged to share space and resources, collaborate and ultimately be more productive”.
John Ogden, executive director and MD of CBRE in the North, commented: “We are delighted to move our team to this prestigious address right in the heart of Manchester’s historic business district.
“It’s been another exceptional year for our North West Business, exceeding all aspirations. It’s testament to the hard work of the Northern region and the continuous growth of the business that we are able to invest significantly into our new office creating great space for our valued client base and most importantly our staff.”
Other tenants of the 271,000 sq ft Grade A office complex include professional services giant KPMG and law firms Addleshaw Goddard, DLA and Irwin Mitchell.
