Award winning childrenswear & toy boutique to open in Altrincham
An independent award winning children’s boutique is opening its second shop at 108 - 110 George Street, Altrincham’s premier retail destination.
Pixie, a new York inspired store, based in Cheshire’s popular Hale village sells high quality kids’ clothing and accessories for babies and children with an extensive range of educational toys, games and gifts along with covetable nursery furniture.
Gillian Franks who opened in Hale eight years ago said: “From a fledging start we have successfully established ourselves in this niche market and we believe the time is right to open another store. The revitalisation of Altrincham along with its increasing popularity made it the ideal choice”.
Pixie has taken a 10 year lease on the 2,000 sq ft outlet which is due to open in May.
Daniel Lee, director, Regional Property Solutions, who acted for the landlord, said: “Altrincham has and is undergoing a remarkable transformation which will boosted by the purchase of the Grafton Centre by Trafford Council who intend to look at options for regenerating the shopping complex to further enhance this end of George Street.
Pixie (Altrincham) Ltd acted for themselves.
Pixie was a finalist in the Drapers Independents Award for ‘Niche Retailer of the Year’ in 2015, 2016 & 2017. Judges, for the awards generally acknowledged as the ‘Oscars’ of the fashion retail industry, hailed the boutique as “more than just a shop”. Pixie won CWB (Childrenswear Buyer) ‘Best Childrenswear Shop’ in November 2017.
