Berkeley DeVeer unveils £4m new homes scheme in Ossett

DEVELOPERS have launched to market a £4m-plus collection of family homes in the heart of a West Yorkshire mill town – and all but two have already been reserved.

Yorkshire-based Berkeley DeVeer is transforming a site at Dale Street in Ossett, near Wakefield, into 14 three and four bedroom luxury homes.

Its commuter-friendly Cambridge Green scheme is located within walking distance from the town centre, yet is linked to the M1-M62 motorway network by a short drive.

“The development has quickly turned into a real success story and underlines not just the growing popularity of Ossett as a place to live but also the attraction of moving into a high-quality high-specification new home,” said Managing Director, Daniel Newett.

“It is proving perfect for buyers who crave for a slice of modern living, on one of Ossett’s most historic streets, whilst being away from all the hustle and bustle.

“No fewer than 12 of the 14 properties – which range in price from £240,000 to £370,000 – have been reserved off-plan in double-quick time. It marks a record for us in a history which has seen us create more than 1,000 homes.

“We are delighted that it is contributing to both the need and demand for new homes in the Ossett community, and supporting its resurgence.”

Only The Elton on plots 1 and 2, a four bedroom house with detached garage priced at £320,000, currently remains available.

Purchasers can also take advantage of the Government’s Help to Buy scheme which gives homeowners a step on or up the property ladder.

To the downstairs of the property is a large living room and spacious kitchen-diner boasting a further seating area, with bi-fold doors opening onto the outdoor space.

Upstairs comprises four generously-sized double bedrooms, one with en-suite, and a large family bathroom.
