Thycotic Announces IBM Security Partnership
An original equipment manufacturing (OEM) agreement has been announced between security firm Thycotic and IBM’s security division, IBM Security.
As part of the agreement, IBM Security will offer a new privileged access management solution, IBM Security Secret Server, powered by Thycotic’s technology.
“This agreement is a milestone in the evolution of Thycotic Privileged Access Management solutions,” said Jim Legg, CEO at Thycotic. “Introduced 10 years ago, Thycotic Secret Server has proven its value as one of the fastest growing PAM solutions at thousands of organizations worldwide, including Fortune 500 enterprises. Our agreement with IBM will help us reach a global marketplace with the right product, at the right time, to answer a growing and urgent need to protect privileged account and user credentials.”
With more than 80 percent of cybersecurity breaches involving compromised user passwords and credentials, the partnership aims to help significantly in decreasing this number.
