Manchester fit-out contractor Workspace D&B sees revenues hit £12.2m
Fit-out contractor Workspace Design & Build (D&B) is celebrating after achieving double-digit revenue growth.
The Manchester-headquartered company generated £12.2m in its latest financial results, up 27% against the year previous.
Workspace D&B’s sales have almost doubled since two years ago, when revenues stood at £6.5m.
The firm said the growth resulted from raft of work with new clients alongside a “steady stream” of repeat business. Recent ventures into the industrial and residential sectors also contributed.
To accommodate the growth, Workspace D&B has increased its workforce by 20% and plans to move into new 3,200 sq ft premises on New York Street in July.
Russell Davis, managing director of Workspace D&B, said: “We are really pleased with the past year and the level of growth we have achieved across the business.
“The next year is an important one for Workspace as we move to our new office space and push forward across different sectors. Generally, market conditions are tough, but we remain positive as our growth prediction and office move are ideally placed to pick up city centre refurbishment work.”
He continued: “We will also be continuing our expansion across various sectors, particularly looking at opportunities across the residential sector as we start on-site with Etc Urban Developments at their 20,000 sq. ft site in Preston, comprising 18 apartments.
“We are on track to turnover £16m next year and believe the office move will not only support our growth but will demonstrate our commitment to becoming the go-to fit-out contractor in Manchester.”
