Adtrak Helps Apprentices Reach Career Aspirations

As part of Learning at Work Week, leading digital marketing agency Adtrak, is showcasing the importance of nurturing young talent by recognising the hard work of its former and current apprentices.

Learning at Work Week is taking place from 14th to 20th May this year and is an annual campaign co-ordinated by the Campaign for Learning which celebrates learning and development with workplace organisations.

Understanding the importance of learning and development, Adtrak is celebrating its Apprenticeship Programme which has so far seen six apprentices welcomed through the Adtrak doors.

The scheme has been a huge success for the business seeing a 100% record for retaining apprentices upon completion of their apprenticeship. The agency currently employs two apprentices and four previous apprentices are now in full-time, permanent employment at Adtrak.

Aiden McCullough is Adtrak’s most recent graduate, completing his apprenticeship last month. Aiden said: “When I first joined Adtrak, I had very little marketing knowledge and no experience in SEO. In the time I have spent here, I’ve learnt a lot and my clients have seen good results due to this. In my experience at Adtrak, if you want to begin learning something new, then the company and your managers are always happy to accommodate.”

Currently undertaking an apprenticeship programme with Adtrak is Aalia Zorko and Tom Reynolds who began their digital marketing apprenticeships in November 2017. Aalia, alongside Aiden, is featuring in Adtrak’s Learning at Work campaign on social media – a series of videos discussing their experiences of being an apprentice at Adtrak.

She said: “I love being an apprentice as I am earning while I am learning. I feel that the apprenticeship route is a lot better than uni and I love working here at Adtrak. I look forward to coming into work every single day.”

Adtrak’s apprenticeship programme, which has now been in operation for almost three years, is reflective of the company’s commitment to pursuing growth and learning, and harnessing local talent.

Chris Robinson, Managing Director at Adtrak, said: “The learning and development of our staff is a particularly important value for Adtrak. We are committed to hiring young people straight from colleges and universities and providing them with a structured training and development programme.

“Our apprenticeship scheme is a fantastic example of the development opportunities we offer. It’s a pleasure to watch our apprentices learn and grow so rapidly, becoming permanent members of staff and then progressing throughout their departments.”

Tamara Philips was Adtrak’s very first apprentice, kickstarting the scheme in August 2015. After completing an apprenticeship in Software, Web and Telecoms, and being crowned Apprentice of the Year 2016 at the Nottingham Post Women in Business Awards, Tamara is now a Trainee Web Designer and an invaluable member of the team.

Tamara said: “I hope that my career will be a great example of a successful apprenticeship and inspire people to follow the apprenticeship route. Adtrak is a great company and there is an amazing career ladder to follow.”

Adtrak also welcomed Emily Swinscoe and Lauren Dalrymple as apprentices in August 2016. Having completed their Level 3 Digital Marketing qualifications in August 2017, they are now both Trainee Internet Marketing Consultants at Adtrak.

Adtrak’s apprenticeship programme runs in conjunction with 3aaa, an apprenticeship and training provider with locations across England. They help to pair hopeful apprentices with appropriate businesses and have established a successful partnership with Adtrak since 2015.

Adtrak is a leading digital marketing agency based in the heart of Nottingham in the East Midlands, working with clients in all sectors across the UK and internationally. For more information visit www.adtrak.co.uk
