South Shields marketing firm celebrates prosperous first months and team expansion
Concept, a marketing and creative agency based in South Shields, is expanding after a successful first six months in business.
The firm was set up by entrepreneur, Neil Stephenson and veterans of the advertising sector, John McEwan and Dean Rutter in 2017. The company opened its first office at One Trinity Green with the help and support of South Tyneside Council’s business team.
Within the past six months, the business has won many high profile clients including the NHS in Northumberland, retailers and alcohol brands.
Sam Laverick has joined the creative team at Concept and will use his experience and network of contacts in the North to deliver client work.
He said: “The team at Concept are unique in the Northern market, having a portfolio of client work to compare with any large London agency, yet a real focus on customer care.
“I was impressed with the team, the vision they have for the business and the culture they are developing, and am delighted to be joining the company.”
The team have over 50 years of combined experience in the advertising and branding markets, and have a particular strength in packaging.
The business offers services such as branding, advertising, marketing and copy writing which translates to traditional media such as print and onto more modern web-based platforms.
Neil Stephenson added: “Having enjoyed an amazing first six months, we found we needed to add to the team to keep up with demand.
“We are delighted to have persuaded someone of the calibre of Sam to join us and are sure our customers will be equally delighted to meet Sam.
“We are expanding quickly as a result of customer demand and are also looking for a web site builder and a junior creative.”
