CAMPAIGN AIMS TO ‘ATTRACT’ NEW EMPLOYEES

A leading housebuilder has joined a national campaign aimed at bringing more people into the housebuilding industry. Persimmon Homes West Yorkshire, which operates new homes developments across West and South Yorkshire has signed up to the Home Builders Skills Partnership’s ‘Attract’ campaign, which promotes careers in housebuilding across the UK. The three-month advertising and social media campaign aims to show young people, career changers and former armed forces personnel the wide range of job opportunities available. Wayne Gradwell, managing director of Persimmon Homes West Yorkshire, said: “The Government estimates the UK needs to build 300,000 new homes every year to keep up with national demand and, at Persimmon, there are many ways to contribute to that target. “There are career opportunities at all levels in our land and planning, construction, sales, finance and technical teams.
