Halifax events agency expands workforce as turnover hits £11m
Your Event Solutions (YES), the Halifax-based events agency, is entering its 18th year of business with a 40% growth in turnover to £11m over the past 18 months.
The agency has created a number of strategic senior roles as a result of its continued growth, which includes a recent £2m two-year contract win with a brand new global medical equipment manufacturer and new three year marketing and comms contract with a UK £500m media company.
Among the new senior talent to join YES is Laura Hodges, who is taking up the role as creative director.
She will be responsible for delivering creative content solutions for the agency’s existing client projects and new business pitches, with a focus on live events, marketing campaigns and incentive travel.
Laura is joined by Leanne Roys, who takes up the position of director at YES’s Switzerland office near Zurich, having previously worked at in the global commercial team at Takeda pharmaceuticals and previous to that ran over 100 major congresses per year for Medical Societies.
In addition, Kim Rowling has been appointed as EA to YES CEO and founder, Sue Gill. Kim is the former personal assistant to President EMEA & Global Ecommerce and the director Global Ecommerce & Omni-Channel at Jimmy Choo.
Kim takes the number of new recruits to join the agency over the past 12 months to eight with further recruitment underway to support the growth of a Philadelphia office in July this year.
Speaking about YES’s success, Sue said: “We’ve entered our 18th year of business stronger than ever thanks to a recent exciting company restructure that was actually overdue but now the best thing that could have happened.
“Of course the continued loyalty and hard work of our no 1 asset - team YES underlines this along with a number of significant contract wins including the recent delivery of 400-delegate beauty science conference in Ibiza.
“Our focus on providing clients with exceptional service combined with our agile approach has been key to our growth and helped cement our position in the marketplace.
“The new additions to the team will underpin our growth on a strategic level as we expand into new market sectors and new countries. Our new business pipeline has doubled year on year and we’re forecasting a further 30% growth. I’m excited to see what the future for YES holds, it’s a fantastic place to be right now.”
