It is a high five as RHCV celebrates five years

East Midlands Renault Trucks Dealer, RH Commercial Vehicles (RHCV) has marked a remarkable five years of success and growth, since expanding into Derbyshire.

With four sites across the East Midlands, RHCV expanded into Cotes Park Commercials site on Cotes Park Industrial Estate in Alfreton in April 2013 with just five employees.

Since then, RHCV’s Alfreton site has gone from strength to strength over the past five years, enhancing its services, doubling its workforce and being recognised in the Aftersales Dealer of the Year category at the Renault Trucks Dealer Awards for three consecutive years.

This is a result of the team investing heavily in its service offering over the past five years. Late night opening hours were established which will keep customers on the road outside of regular working hours, while an extensive refurbishment programme included opening a new customer reception area and introducing an ATF Lane and two new pits.

Now, with 10 employees and three apprentices on board and another two being recruited this year, RHCV’s Alfreton site is continuing to see an increased demand for its parts, sales and aftersales services.

In July 2017, RHCV’s Alfreton site was also chosen as one of the first Renault Trucks dealers to receive Renault’s new branding, helping to modernise and upgrade the existing exterior, following its success in the region. The dealer was also named as one of East Midlands’ fastest growing companies in the Grant Thornton Top 200 in the same year.

David Templeman, Dealer Point Manager for RHCV in Alfreton said: “The last five years have been tremendous for RHCV and the whole team at Alfreton. From winning awards for our service and success to seeing the site become a modern and hi-tech dealer, our work and commitment to the site is something that we can be all proud of.

“Before we moved into Alfreton, there was only a small Renault Trucks presence in the area but over the years, I am glad to see that we have made our mark and welcomed both long-standing and new customers as a result.”

One customer to have benefitted from RHCV’s new service offering is G R Wade & Son in Watnall, Nottingham, who has relied on RHCV’s sales and aftersales support in Alfreton since it first opened.

Owner, Richard Wade said: “Since they opened five years ago, I have had nothing but great service. We’ve dealt with many other dealers but RHCV has always been the best as they are flexible and able to meet my needs efficiently.”

Established 40 years ago, RHCV has its head office in Nottingham and a further three sites in Leicester, Alfreton and Northampton – which was acquired earlier this year. The company employs 90 staff and sell, leases, services and repairs heavy (HGV) and light commercial (LCV) vehicles across the East Midlands.
