North Wales business people urged to join leading business network

Business leaders in North Wales who want to reach the next level in their careers are being urged to join a top business organisation.

The Institute of Directors (IoD) is on the lookout for more members who want to achieve more in their respective industries.

IoD membership is focused on helping business people progress their careers through professional development, as well as offering wider benefits to them and their organisation. The IoD, which was founded more than 100 years ago, is committed to raising standards in business.

Members will also have access to the IoD Academy, a dedicated professional development programme.

Membership also includes access to wide ranging business support including free tax and legal helplines, with experts available to provide advice on complicated business issues.

They can also take advantage of workspace across the UK via 15 IoD centres available for members’ use including hosting meetings with clients and contacts.

The organisation offers membership in a range of packages to suit members’ specific needs.

Full membership gives access to all of the IoD’s benefits including its exclusive LinkedIn group and free subscription to its monthly magazine, Director. The magazine is packed with advice, expert opinion, and inspiration to help members gain the edge over competitors in business.

The IoD’s Advance package includes an assigned relationship manager, while IoD 99 is ideal for start-up directors.

Students are also welcome to join the IoD with a student membership, giving access to the IoD’s extensive work placement and internships noticeboard along with all standard benefits.

IoD North Wales lead ambassador and head of employment law at Aaron & Partners Helen Watson said: “Directors and senior managers in the region have benefited greatly from IoD membership including promotions, pay rises, improved profitability, and increased sales.

“There’s never been a better time to join the IoD, and anyone with a leading role in their company can join. I urge anyone interested to get in contact.

“Along with all the benefits, our members have a sense of community and help and support each other in their goals.

“With both expert and peer advice on hand, members have the chance to see their challenges in a different perspective and overcome them.”

You don’t need to be a company director to join the IoD. Senior managers are welcome from large public organisations to small family firms.
