North Tyneside firm celebrates 10 years in business
This month, North Tyneside’s Northern Engineering Solutions Ltd (NESL) has celebrated its 10th anniversary.
The SME values great customer servive, which has been the ‘cornerstone’ of the business since it began trading in 2008 - the year of the world’s greatest financial crisis since the early 20th century.
Howevever, the company is still going and has worked on more than 500 projects in 10 countries across four continents.
NESL specialises in: process pipework services; specialist welding and stainless-steel welding; mechanical services; cleanroom construction and modification; drilling rig construction; consultancy services; and project management.
NESL’s founders and directors, Mark Hodges and Mark Davey, have a combined experience of more than 70 years in engineering and process pipework. They met in 1996 whilst working at the Siemens semi-conductor plant in North Tyneside.
Mark Hodges said: “The company is extremely proud of what our team has delivered for our clients over the last 10 years.
“During this time, our customer base has expanded and due to our agility, experience and knowledge we have been able to grow our service offerings dramatically.”
NESL is now looking to the future and is making plans for its continued growth.
One of the key areas to supporting this is growing its workforce, and its record of training and developing its employees is one that the directors are said to be ‘proud’ of.
Mark Davey added: “Three members of the current team started as apprentices and in the autumn of 2017, we recruited four new apprentices, in partnership with Advanced Industrial Solutions.
“We strongly believe in the value of ‘homegrown’ talent and the benefits it brings to the business.”
