25 jobs saved with sale of food firm Yorkshire Game
Restructuring specialists PKF Geoffrey Martin & Co have sold Yorkshire Game 17 Limited, including the retail brand Wild, to Gressingham Game - part of the Gressingham Foods group.
Under the terms of the acquisition, Gressingham Game has entered into a new lease for Yorkshire Game 17 Limited’s premises at Brompton on Swale.
Gressingham Game has also taken on all employees of the business, saving approximately 25 jobs.
James Sleight and Peter Hart from Leeds-based restructuring specialists PKF Geoffrey Martin & Co completed the sale of Yorkshire Game 17 Limited.
William Buchanan, co-owner and joint managing director of Grassingham Game, commented: “Our aim with Gressingham Game is to build on the tremendous success we have enjoyed over the last 20 years introducing more and more people to the great taste of duck.”
James Sleight, partner at PKF Geoffrey Martin & Co, said: “We’ve been pleased to work alongside management of both Gressingham Game and Yorkshire Game to enable this transaction to take place.
“Most importantly, we’ve helped secure the jobs of a loyal workforce and allowed the business and brand to continue.”
