Four new starters for fast growing engineering consultancy

A North Wales-based engineering, environmental, and planning consultancy has appointed four new members of staff to meet growing client demands.

Caulmert has recruited David High as an associate, Jonathan Parry as an associate structural engineer, David Algieri as junior computer-aided design (CAD) technician and Geraint Roberts as a principal geotechnical engineer.

The new recruits will join Caulmert’s St Asaph and Bangor teams to work on projects for clients including Airbus, Wilmott Dixon, and Stoke City FC.

David High, a chartered engineer with more than 25 years’ experience in the industry, will manage the consultancy’s infrastructure team of engineers and technicians. He will oversee a range of projects, from small-scale domestic work to multi million pound infrastructure schemes.

Jonathan Parry joins Caulmert’s structural team with more than two decades of experience in structural engineering. He has helped carry out major refurbishments of historical buildings and worked on the construction of several North Wales schools.

Geraint Roberts will work on the company’s geotechnical team. He is a member of the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) and has worked on projects across the UK including various flood defence schemes, a South Wales wind farm and rail work in Nottingham.

David Algieri joins Caulmert having worked his way up from an apprenticeship with a construction firm. He has experience working in the nuclear sector and assisted with projects involving major highways including the A55.

Founded in 2009, employee-owned Caulmert is on track to meet an ambitious 15-year growth plan that would see it employ 250 people by 2024. In addition to Bangor and St Asaph, it also has offices in Altrincham, Kent, and Nottingham.

Its expertise in a variety of planning, environmental and engineering projects is supported by the use of Building Information Modelling (BIM) processes and modelling to meet PAS1192 level 2.
