Newcastle marketing agency trebles HQ size in latest move

Pharmaceutical and life sciences marketing agency, ramarketing has announced plans to treble the size of its Newcastle base to support its growth targets.

The firm is to move into the Carliol Square offices, being vacated by Campus North later this year.

The news follows the agency’s launch of a base in Manchester earlier this year, and new offices in Boston, USA, which will open this November.

Ramarketing’s founder, Raman Sehgal, said: “As a former Newcastle-based startup ourselves, and now an international business, we are pleased to be moving into what is the perfect space for a creative agency team, and which has been a launch pad for so many successful digital businesses.

“As one of the fastest growing PR and digital healthcare agencies in the UK, our new offices will give us a sizable space to grow into for many years to come.

“The creative, collaborative and cool nature of the space also provides an ideal platform to nurture our people and attract the finest talent the region has to offer.”

ramarketing is currently recruiting for a number of digital, design, marketing and PR roles to join its 20-strong team in a bid to expand numbers by around 30 per cent.

Raman added: “With around 7,000 sq ft available to us, our new home will give us the room we need to increase staff numbers over the next few years and has the bonus of flexible extra space which will be used for events, training sessions and wellness activities that will support a good life balance for our people.

“We very much intend to maintain the reputation built by Campus North in making the space one of the best workspaces in the UK.

“Mr Sunil Vadehra, the owner of the whole building, has done a fantastic job of creating a genuine hub for innovative creative, digital and tech business in Carliol Square. We look forward to becoming the anchor tenant of this thriving community.”

Set up in 2009, ramarketing specialises in providing design, digital and PR services to companies operating in the global pharmaceutical, biotechnology and life sciences space.

Its clients range from fast growing specialist SMEs to some of the biggest industry names in the world.

In 2017, a six-figure investment by pharmaceutical industry expert, Fiona Cruickshank OBE has helped to accelerate the company’s growth in Europe and North America.

Over 50 per cent of its business is now export, supporting firms in the likes of Denmark, Switzerland, Italy and Germany.

“When we moved to Bealim House in Newcastle in the Spring of 2017, our intention was that it would serve our needs for at least three years,” Raman concluded. “But having outgrown the space much faster than we anticipated, we had to look for somewhere that could accommodate our expansion.

“We are sad to leave our current offices as our landlords at the Vaulkard Group have been very supportive to us as a business.

“We are looking forward to moving into our new home. We are confident the spirit and passion of Campus North will continue, and we wish the community every success.”
