Alex Chalk MP visits Cheltenham-based technology business with a global reach

Alex Chalk MP has visited the Cheltenham headquarters of retail technology specialist SpinMe.

SpinMe, which currently employs 25 people in the local area, provides advanced imaging techniques and studio workflow solutions for global brands. The growing company is based in Hatherley Lane and counts Amazon, Selfridges, Saint Laurent, Halfords and Schuh among its clients.

Hosted by David Brint, CEO of SpinMe, the visit was an opportunity for the Cheltenham MP to tour the studios and learn how the company’s automated processes allow retailers to shoot and manage images and videos for their online stores more effectively.

“It’s exciting to see a local business evolving into a global player by tapping into the wealth of highly skilled talent we have in this region,” said Alex Chalk. “As a regular online shopper, I am much more likely to purchase an item if I can view good quality images and examine it thoroughly. With shopping moving further online, SpinMe’s technology will become even more essential for retailers.” SpinMe is the pioneer of interactive 360 spin photography, which allows shoppers to ‘pick up’ and view items online as they would in a store. Its research and development department is dedicated to helping online retailers improve the customer experience with technology.
