UNTHA UK welcomes new project manager

Multi-disciplined engineer Henry Norris has joined Yorkshire-based UNTHA UK as project manager.

Responsible for coordinating client installations from the point of shredder sale to commissioning and handover, he will be a crucial interface between all of UNTHA UK’s departments as the company continues to grow.

With more than 18 years’ customer-facing experience, his key responsibility is to oversee the successful completion of every project on time, to budget, and in line with client expectations.

Upon graduating from university with a mechatronics degree, Henry began his career with GSPK Engineering – a machine builder for the printed circuit board industry. A design engineer involved in virtually every stage of a contract – from quotation to completion – his advancement into project management was the logical next step.

Having also worked for an automation equipment specialist, his most recent position prior to joining UNTHA UK was project manager for Huddersfield-headquartered Sellers. Here, he ran both domestic and overseas assignments supplying finishing machinery to the global carpets industry.

Commenting on the reason for his appointment at UNTHA UK, managing director Marcus Brew said: “Our projects are becoming increasingly complex due to the varying applications our shredders are being tasked to handle and the scale of the plants they’re being procured for.”

“Assignments of this nature are now the norm for us, so it’s important that as our company grows, we maintain – and improve on – the standards we’ve become renowned for.”

“Henry will play a crucial part in ensuring this happens, on projects large and small. He is a strong communicator with a vast degree of engineering experience and has already started to build a solid rapport with clients and colleagues alike.”

Headhunted for the position, Henry added: “I was particularly impressed by the quality of UNTHA’s shredding technology, their team dynamic and the scope of the projects they are now appointed to deliver. They’ve already got a solid foundation for further success and I look forward to overseeing the activity – and development – of their project management function to play a core part of that.”
