BRING IT ON! EXHIBITION RETURNS

The North East’s biggest engineering celebration returns this October.

Bring it On! is a two-day exhibition taking place on the 3rd and 4th October at the Beacon of Light, Sunderland’s most innovative sports and education facility. Welcoming over 70 exhibitors across the region and over 2,750 pupils this celebration of science and engineering aims to inspire, excite and educate the next generation.

Bring It On will once again bring together schools and industry to work together on building a passionate community feel around Engineering based subjects and to raise the aspirations and awareness of young people in the North East.

Featuring six zones:

Subsea, Oil & Gas, Renewable Energy Automotive, Rail & Aerospace Civil, Structural & Construction Chemical, Biotech & Pharmaceutical Creative & Digital Technology Big Bang Competition Zone The North East businesses are invited to demonstrate their activities and products through interactive displays and practical demonstrations of their products.

In addition to the main exhibition, which will exclusively feature North East Engineering companies, Bring It On will host the North East Regional Heat of the ‘Big Bang’ a national competition which aims, amongst other things, to build transferable skills by providing opportunities to take part in project based activity. Big Bang, programme manager, Carol Harrison said:

“Bring it On’ will showcase north east engineering to young people in the region, we hope this will help change perceptions, raise aspirations and hopefully create a spark in some of them to want to be part of north east engineering in the future. The Big Bang zone will celebrate and reward students for their excellent project work.
