New jobs created as hairdressing tool brand Cloud Nine expands into larger premises

Cloud Nine, the Harrogate-based hairdressing tool brand, has expanded into new premises with support of a six-figure funding package from HSBC.

Established in 2009, the business manufactures a range of hairdressing tools and sells products in over 24 countries.

The brand’s luxury products include Touch Iron and O Rollers, which are stocked in retailers such as John Lewis and Harvey Nichols.

Cloud Nine has also appeared at fashion shows around the world in collaboration with designers such as Charlotte Olympia, Anya Hindmarch and Emilio de la Morena.

To address in an increasing demand, the business choose to expand into a larger warehouse facility in Hornbeam Park, Harrogate. The new 18,000 sq ft premises provides the business with 150% greater stock capacity.

Cloud Nine expects to create up to five jobs and increase turnover by 25% in the next 12 months as a result of the expansion.

Cloud Nine has also taken steps to expand its European operations in Italy and Spain with the backing of trade finance from HSBC. This expansion is expected to increase turnover by €10m over the next three years.
