Organic allotment-themed bar and social space to open in Shoreditch
A new allotment-themed bar and social space is opening in Shoreditch next month.
The team behind Bourne & Hollingsworth Buildings has today (June 26) revealed plans for Beautiful Allotment – an outdoor drinking and dining venue that will aim to bring a pocket of the English countryside to London.
Beautiful Allotment will operate all summer at the Geffrye Museum’s Victorian gardens, which will be transformed into a “serene oasis [of] bookable day beds, handcrafted potting sheds, makeshift cocktail bars and raised BBQ areas”, according to the Bourne & Hollingsworth team.
Adding to the organic aesthetic will be trailing plants, vegetable patches, repurposed items and homemade pieces of furniture, as well as roaming ‘garden-tenders’ with wheelbarrow bars bringing cocktails to guests.
The venue will also feature a travelling tractor with a vintage trailer and on-board bar tender to ferry groups of up to 30 people to and from the allotment.
Bookable events taking place at Beautiful Allotment over the summer will include film screenings, workshops and live music.
Bourne & Hollingsworth’s latest venture will launch on July 25 and operate from Wednesdays to Sundays.
