York health supplement firm creates new jobs with seven-figure funding package
Power Body Nutrition, the York-based health supplement supplier, is set to expand its product range and increase staff numbers with the support of a seven-figure funding package from HSBC.
The company, which imports health-boosting supplements from the USA and Europe, aims to use the money to significantly increase its stock capacity.
The seven-figure funding package will create four new jobs at the company’s headquarters and is expected to support a 60% increase in turnover over the coming financial year.
Bart Ratus, general manager of Power Body Nutrition, said: “The appetite for improving health and fitness has really taken hold in recent years and we have built a reputation for our expertise in supplying supplements, vitamins and minerals from around the world.

Andy Howard, relationship director for North Yorkshire at HSBC, added: “It is exciting to see a company at the forefront of their industry continue to innovate and grow.
“The products that Power Body Nutrition source are highly regarded by consumers and suppliers alike, you only have to look at their social media following to appreciate that value. We’re delighted to support the business’s growth.”
