Northwood & WEPA charity donations on a roll

Leading private label paper supplier, Northwood & WEPA, has donated £18,000 worth of loo and kitchen rolls to a number of Bolton’s homelessness charities and community centres.

Tackling different aspects of the town’s homelessness and poverty challenges, seven organisations and the people who receive their support will benefit from the 25,000 rolls donated, including: Bolton Young Persons Housing Scheme (BYPHS); Emmaus; Benjamin Court; Endeavour Project ; Fortalice; Urban Outreach and Families and Babies

Bolton-based Northwood & WEPA is a major supporter of local community initiatives and charity organisations that provide invaluable services to the town, and these charities are all prime examples of this.

The donation follows the £11,000 worth of products that Northwood & WEPA gifted to the same causes at the start of the New Year.

Maura Jackson, CEO of BYPHS, said: “We offer vital support to some of Bolton’s most vulnerable young people, ensuring they are valued members of our community and empowered to live self-sufficient lives in the future.

“Our residents are often left with less than £10 per week after they’ve bought essentials, such as toilet roll, so yet another kind donation from Northwood & WEPA’s will go a long way in helping to relieve the strain some of the people in our care might feel.”

As the UK and Ireland’s leading private label paper supplier, Northwood & WEPA is committed to ensuring it has a positive impact on the communities within which it operates. Supply chain manager, Dave McFarlane, explained: “We are a Bolton business, operating out of our headquarters in the town, so it’s important for us to give something back to the community.

“The seven organisations receiving our donations work tirelessly with young people and families and we couldn’t be happier to know that our gesture will play a small part in helping to ease any burdens in their day-to-day lives.”

Northwood & WEPA has its commercial headquarters in Bolton and supplies over 600 million toilet and kitchen paper rolls to the UK retail sector per year.
