Chester-le-Street’s One Sports Warehouse signs deal with Asics

County Durham retailer One Sports Warehouse has expanded its range in a new deal with Japanese sportswear giant ASICS Group.

The company will now feature Asics’ sporting footwear range at its store on the Drum Industrial Estate in Chester-le-Street.

One Sports Warehouse, which specialises in hockey and sports equipment, already stocks products from brands including Grays, Osaka, OBO and Ritual.

Managing director Simon Lee said: “Expanding the product offering for our customers is key in our plans to grow the business and ensure we provide the best possible sportswear and equipment.

“Our customers, whom range from families, sports enthusiasts and teams, expect to pick from the best sports and hockey gear, so that’s exactly what we’re providing.”

In the last 24 months, One Sports Warehouse said its turnover and staff count have risen by 25%. It also launched a new ecommerce platform and relocated to its current premises on the Drum Industrial Estate.

Simon continued: “We have settled into our unit on the Drum Industrial Estate and have seen the business exceed our expectations over the past year.

“Our ecommerce website has also been part of our recipe for success and has allowed us to establish new points of contact with our customers.”
