Leeds Structural Engineer Working With UK's Leading Retirement Developer
Leeds based Adept Civil and Structural Consulting Engineers is working with the UK’s leading retirement housebuilder McCarthy & Stone, to provide structural engineering services on new developments located across the North of England.
In the past six years, Adept has completed work on 18 developments, worth in excess of £80 million and consisting of more than 750 retirement apartments, on behalf of McCarthy & Stone.
Several of the current projects will complete during 2018 and include McCarthy & Stone’s exclusive Bishophill development in York city centre, which is one of the company’s flagship schemes and is due to compete during the autumn.
The development’s 34 apartments sit within the historic city’s famous walls, on the banks of the River Ouse and will benefit from a panoramic rooftop terrace with views over the whole city and impressive landscaped gardens. Other developments include sites in Ilkley, Morpeth, South Shields and Settle.
Paul Watchorn, associate director at Adept, says: “As part of these latest projects with McCarthy & Stone we are designing superstructures and foundations on a range of developments across the region.
“McCarthy & Stone is the only national retirement housebuilder in the UK with a significant share of the owner-occupied retirement housing market, which makes them a fantastic household name to be working with.”
