Spennymoor mayor welcomes 360 Interiors NE Ltd to town
Spennymoor’s Mayor hopes the opening of a new showroom will encourage more local businesses to open in the centre of town.
Cllr Clive Maddison officially opened 360 Interiors North East’s first ever showroom in Cheapside yesterday (Monday).
Owned by Spennymoor entrepreneur Barrie Soulsby, the company was launched in April 2017 and already employs six people.
Cllr Maddison said he was encouraged to see one of the empty shops in the town being given a new lease of life.
He said: “It is great that someone has come to Spennymoor to open a business and to employ six people. Hopefully, people from the town will come to support the business, especially as there are so many new houses being built here.
“I hope that more people will be encouraged and will open a business in the town centre and kick-start the economy in the centre.”
Mr Soulsby said the new showroom was the next logical step for his business.
“We’re starting to see business grow and I thought many people would want to see and experience the quality of our furnishings and fixtures as well as the quality of how we fit kitchens, bathrooms and bedrooms.
“I’m delighted to have been able to open the first showroom here. I look forward to many happy years trading from Cheapside.”
