£700,000 expansion is stacking up

The Aylesbury branch of Mobile Mini, a leading hirer of portable site accommodation and secure storage containers has relocated and expanded, signalling the Company’s commitment to the Thames Valley.

The move comes following a £700,000 investment, after a period of significant growth within the Thames Valley region for the Company, which has 15 branches nationwide, from Glasgow to Southampton.

Having outgrown its original Aylesbury site following a significant surge in demand for its services over recent years, Mobile Mini’s new Thames Valley branch has moved into a purpose-built, four acre facility on Westcott Venture Park, Aylesbury. The new site will offer many advantages to its customers, such as quicker turnaround times and great product availability, while also allowing the company to maintain its reputation for excellence in customer service.

The new branch consists of modern office units for employees to work out from, two large workshops with state of the art equipment, and ample space for its growing fleet of storage containers, site accommodation units and delivery vehicles.

All 23 employees have been relocated from the original site and will also enjoy the benefits of a new, modern workspace.

“Everyone is delighted with the new branch, which will better serve our customers and employees, ensuring our excellent quality standards are maintained,” said Mobile Mini Managing Director, Chris Morgan.

This expansion comes just months after the firm invested £1.4 million in an additional eight new lorry-mounted loader cranes, taking its total fleet to 60, to increase operational efficiency and customer service. One of the new vehicles will be operated from the Thames Valley branch, being used primarily in heavily built-up areas, as the vehicles can be more easily positioned and used for lifting and stacking units more effectively.

Chris said: “This is a very exciting time for Mobile Mini. Increased demand in the Thames Valley has created the need to expand not only our industry-leading fleet, but also the branch that serves the area. “We believe that the strong local economy and our market leading position, together with our increased capacity, will lead to further growth of the branch.”
