Teesside roof company to create jobs and target new overseas markets

Roof insulation business TaperedPlus has doubled its workload, expanded into new overseas markets and revealed plans to create jobs on the back of recent project wins.

The Teesside-based company will create four roles by the end of 2018 as it targets revenue growth in North America, France and Canada.

Over the last 18 months, TaperedPlus has designed and supplied projects at the Victoria & Albert Museum, Coronation Street studios and The Strand in London, as well as delivering on a contract in Abu Dhabi for the first time.

Aman Chahal, director of TaperedPlus, said: “This is a very exciting time at TaperedPlus, and these latest contract wins only reinforce our credibility as a quality designer and supplier of tapered insulation and will encourage growth to help us achieve our aims.

“I am so proud to see the company develop. We saw growth of over 58% in 2017, with 2018 set to grow by an additional 30%, which is testament to the team and our reputation as a leading supplier.”

To accommodate an increasing demand for its services, TaperedPlus took on Logistics Teesside founder Donna Wilson for the role of commercial manager.

Speaking further, Aman said: “Bringing Donna into the business is a big step forward for us due to her vast experience.

“She will enable us to move to the next level of growth and give us support to develop our team, meaning the volume and quality of projects we can handle will continually increase.”

The firm also appointed Emma Frater as purchasing manager.

TaperedPlus now employs a team of 10 at offices in Stockton and Wolverhampton.
